The Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Department includes offerings in Dance, Visual Arts, Chorus with Rock Band pullout, and Peer Resources. 6th Grade students are exposed to an exploratory wheel where by they receive 9-12 weeks of Art, Dance, Music, and Peers. 7th Grade students study content a little deeper by participating in one semester of Dance and one semester of Art OR one semester of Peer Resources and one semester of Music. 8th Grade students get to choose their year-long elective in Art, Dance or Music. After School classes are available in Portfolio Preparation in Visual Arts for School of the Arts High School. After School classes are also taught in Musical Theater, Dance, and other arts disciplines. Various Fundraisers and Performances are scheduled throughout the school year. |
