You're invited to a fun event called Tech Search Party. It's a smart phone scavenger hunt that sends participants scurrying throughout SF's Noe Valley neighborhood trying to decipher clues and be the first team to send back the correct answer.

Yes, there are prizes involved, and yes, all the money raised benefits four local SF public schools, but you're really going to want to do this to have a great time out.

Don't believe me?  Just ask Mayor Gavin Newsom, who had this to say in a very non-press release-like statement:

“When the going gets tough, the tough get creative.  San Francisco is a center of innovation and creativity, and Tech Search Party is an innovative way to meet the needs of San Francisco public schools, and I strongly encourage everyone to get involved today.”
