What a glorious feeling, we're happy again!
Actually, the rain held off the VAPA car wash until the final half hour--and still the cars were lining up! We enjoyed mostly dry weather, a full parking lot, a steady stream of cars, friendly faces, can-do attitudes, yummy treats, and good will all around. The event brought in well over $1500 for the arts at James Lick!
For making the car wash such a big success, special credit and appreciation goes to:
-Bernie's Coffee on 24th Street, yet again!
-the Noe Valley Harvest Festival folks;
-the many staff, families, neighbors and friends who were so generous with their support; and
-our crew of parents and kids who set up, scrubbed, hosed, dried, hawked goodies on 24th Street and at the bake sale, sold tickets, held signs on street corners to bring in more customers, cleaned up, and provided security--many above and beyond the call of duty.
Last and most of all, our deepest appreciation goes to MR. STOOKEY, the real star of the show. We appreciate all the countless hours and great heart Mr. Stookey gives to our students and the play every year. We can't wait to see Aladdin December 9-11!
