Located in sunny Noe Valley, James Lick Middle School provides a small, personalized, diverse and academically challenging environment. Our energetic and innovative teachers and counseling staff collaborate to provide the best for your child.

We have a college-going culture. We offer a rigorous comprehensive curriculum in which students learn in extended periods of math/science and language arts/social studies core classes.

Our Arts instruction is award-winning and kids learn in a huge, well-appointed art studio. And last year, two music classes and one dance class were added to student electives. Our Gifted and Talented Education classes include Algebra for 8th graders and classes in humanities and math topics during academic enrichment.

As a balance to academics, we offer a wide range of activities through the After-School Program. These include homework center, tutoring, mentor programs, outdoor club, dance, sports, yearbook, and cultural clubs."
